Living in the Coachella Valley means we share risks tied to weather, earthquakes, power outages, traffic incidents, and regional infrastructure. Most emergencies are manageable when people stay calm, informed, and prepared ahead of time.
This map was created simply to help identify key routes, general infrastructure areas, and basic protective actions if an emergency ever happens. Even small steps — knowing evacuation routes, keeping extra water, having a communication plan, and understanding when to shelter in place — can make a major difference.
Preparedness is not paranoia. It’s wisdom, responsibility, and caring for the people around us.
Stay alert. Stay calm. Take care of each other.
